Hanoi to Hold 3rd Agricultural Products and Craft Village Festival in Q4

The 3rd Hanoi Agricultural Products and Craft Village Festival in 2024 will take place in 5 days, from (November 29 - December 3, 2024) at Mailand HaNoi City Urban Area, An Khanh Commune, Hoai Duc District. It is expected that 260 units will participate in displaying, introducing and promoting agricultural products and craft villages.

The Organizing Committee said that the 3rd Hanoi Agricultural Products and Craft Village Festival in 2024 is an important and practical event to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Party Committee of Hanoi City agencies (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), and the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Department of Agriculture (now the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, November 30, 1954 - November 30, 2024).

The event also aims to create favorable conditions for all levels, sectors, economic sectors, organizations, businesses and individuals to participate in trade promotion activities for agricultural products and craft village products; at the same time, promote economic growth and development in the agricultural and rural areas of Hanoi. In particular, the organization of the Festival also aims to accelerate the program of building new rural areas, preserving the space of the village community and traditional products and products, creating momentum to restructure the agricultural sector in a sustainable direction, contributing to the comprehensive development of agriculture and rural areas.

It is expected that the 3rd Hanoi Agricultural Products and Craft Village Festival will have 260 units participating in displaying, introducing and promoting agricultural products and craft villages, including 152 units from 25 districts, towns and cities of Hanoi; 116 units from 25 neighboring provinces and cities and 32 domestic and international units and enterprises.

The opening ceremony of the Festival will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on November 29, 2024 at Mailand HaNoi City Urban Area, An Khanh Commune, Hoai Duc District, City. Hanoi with a rich and attractive art program to praise the agricultural sector and rural development, praise the capital, praise the love for the homeland and the country; reenact activities with historical and cultural depth, meaningful in educating the traditions of agriculture, farmers, and rural areas; the tradition of building and developing the capital and the country.

Within the framework of the Festival, products in the field of agricultural and rural development will be displayed, promoted, introduced, and promoted, with an exhibition area of ​​about 15,000m2, divided into areas: Area for displaying, introducing and promoting typical agricultural products and craft villages of districts, towns; Area for agricultural products and craft villages; Area for demonstrating the skills of artisans in craft villages; display and introduce OCOP products; introduce community tourism spots, agricultural and rural tourism models in Hanoi;

Area for enjoying the quintessence of Vietnamese tea; Ornamental Plants Area; Art performance and Vietnamese cuisine introduction area; Gift and souvenir product display, introduction and manufacturing area; High-tech agricultural area; machinery, equipment, materials for agricultural production and craft villages; Standard booth area displaying agricultural products, craft villages of provinces, cities and enterprises, organizations, and cooperatives.

In addition, the Festival also has a workshop to evaluate the results of the implementation of the coordination program to ensure food safety, quality of agricultural, forestry and fishery products traded between Hanoi and provinces and cities in 2024; Workshop "Orientation and Solutions for Urban Agricultural Development in Hanoi"; Livestream program connecting product consumption, in collaboration with Tiktok Vietnam.

Coming to this Festival, visitors will be able to admire unique bonsai works, works of art made by the talented hands of artisans from Hanoi craft villages, and enjoy specialties at the culinary area. In particular, at the Festival, visitors and locals will have the opportunity to visit and learn about the cultural characteristics of Hanoi's agriculture through exhibition areas, introducing products of districts, towns and cities and shopping with thousands of agricultural products and craft villages that ensure quality and clear origin.
