Buu Long Tourist Site with an Attractive Beauty in Dong Nai Province

The appearance of mountains amid the region consisting of green paddy fields and mangrove forests in the basin of the Dong Nai River has attracted the attention of people. Buu Long is considered as one of the most beautiful mountains in the region.
 
Buu Long is a complex of mountains, rivers and streams, caves and pagodas, which have been restored as a national relic site. The site has an area of 84 hectares with an average height of 100 metres from the sea level. The site offers tourists beautiful and poetic scene of high mountains and deep lakes, and clean atmosphere. There are two mountain complexes in the site, Binh Dien and Long Son Thach Dong. From the peak of Binh Dien Mountain, visitors can see a full scene of Bien Hoa city with industrial parks mushrooming. Also from the site, visitors can see large paddy fields and canals connected to the Dong Nai River. Located on Binh Dien Mountain is the ancient pagoda of Buu Phong. To reach the pagoda from the mountain foot, visitors have to climb 100 steps. Surrounded the pagoda are ancient towers and stones with magnificent shapes.
 
Long Son Thach Dong (also known as the Hang pagoda) is located on Long An Mountain. From the pagoda, visitors can reach a cave looking like a frog’s jaw. On the wall of the cave, there are many stalactites in magnificent shapes. On Long An Mountain, there are pagodas and temples in various architectural styles.
Apart from the two mountain complexes, the region has the famous Long An lake, which was created by people when they mined stone centuries ago. The lake has an area 20,000 square metres. Remaining parts of stone from the lake were reshaped by people to become more beautiful isles. The lake and zigzag mountain paths have created a beautiful picture in the region. In addition, a new tourist attraction with gardens, artificial mountains, and statues has added beauty to the region. Near the lake is the Long Du restaurant, where visitors can enjoy delicious food at reasonable prices. It is a great pleasure to enjoy food and watch the beautiful scenery.
Furthermore, a path at the foot of Binh Dien mountain leads visitors to the Tran Bien Temple of Literature, which was inaugurated on February 14, 2002. The temple was built for worshipping and displaying artefacts relating to cultural activities in the region. It is a place for restoring and honouring the cultural and educational value of the Vietnamese people.
