Vietnamese Tourist Offices abroad

Vietnam Administration of Tourism (VAT) has made recommendations to the Prime Minister that Vietnam should open representative offices abroad, firstly in France and Japan. In 2007-2010, similar offices will be opened in the US, China, Germany, Singapore and Australia.

 

According to experts, Vietnam remains weak in tourism promotion and without any representative offices abroad. In 2001-2005, only some VND112 billion were allocated for tourism promotion. To launch an efficient promotion programme, Vietnam should hire PR companies or foreign consulting companies and develop recreation services to prolong the stay of foreign tourists.
