VCCI Opens Seminar on Business Management

On May 31, 2006, VCCI Branch - HCMC in conjunction with US Department of Trade organised a seminar: "Adopting good corporate governance and ethical business practices: The key to rising incomes and profitability".

Participants on the US side were Mr Seth Winich, US Consul General, Ms Barbara Fredericks, Assistant Consultant, US Department of Trade and over 50 American businesses. On the Vietnamese side were Ms Pham Chi Lan, Consultant, Research Board of the Prime Minister, Management Board of VCCI - HCMC and over 270 local businesses.

 

The seminar focused on analysis and evaluation of expenses and corruption, the important role of business managers in establishing moral code and application in the US, business commitments in relation to US and foreign governments, best international practice and current Vietnamese laws, business responsibility and measures regarding the society.
