Ten Int'l Tourism Giants to Survey Vietnam in 2007
Vietnam is expected to welcome ten international groups arriving in the country to study tourism potential next year, a local newspaper reported.
They include travel firms and foreign media who are interested in the local tourism advantages and who want to boost tourism ties with the local government.
The news will bring more opportunity for local tourist companies to enhance cooperation with local partners.
Pham Huu Minh, Director of the Tourism Promotion Agency under the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) said VNAT is planning to participate in major international tourism events in Singapore, Germany, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, the US, China, India, Russia and France.
Vietnam aims to cater to 4.2 million foreign arrivals in 2007, 16% higher than the last year, and earn US$2.5 billion.
