IMF Vice Director to Visit Vietnam Next Month

Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Takatoshi Kato will visit Vietnam from May 23-24, as part of his trip to Asia, according to Vietnam State media.
 
The visit aims to explore Vietnam’s development situation and promote cooperation between the country and the IMF.

Kato will meet with the Prime Minister and the Chairman of the National Assembly, and hold working sessions with the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam and officials from the Ministries of Finance, Planning and Investment, and Trade.
 
Vietnam joined the IMF in 1956. (VNA)
