Vietnam Exports First Thermo-power Equipment to India
Vietnam July 30 shipped its first thermal power equipment package to India to help the country build BARH thermoelectric plant, local media reported.
Vietnam Machinery Installation & Construction Joint Stock Company (Lilama) and Hai Phong Equipment-Manufacturing and Shipbuilding Company (Lisemco) jointly manufactured the boiler equipment under an agreement reached by Vietnamese and Indian partners.
The equipment, 3,000 tons in weight, was made under the supervision of Russian experts.
Under the aforementioned deal, Lilama will manufacture and export 31,000 tons of boiler equipment worth US$45 million for BARH thermo-power project in India. Of the total, around 30 per cent will be made at Lisemco, a one-member unit of Lilama. (New Hanoi)
