Vietnam-Indonesia Bilateral Trade Hits US$1.88 Bln in Jan-September
The two-way trade between Vietnam and Indonesia was estimated to reach US$1.88 billion in the first nine months of this year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Of the sum, Vietnam was predicted to pocket about US$990.7 million from shipping goods to the Indonesian market.
Vietnam's exports to Indonesia in the first eight months of this year reportedly reached US$895.7 million, up 35.1 per cent on year.
Coffee, rubber, tea, rice and footwear are top five items having the export turnover increased in both volume and value.
In the period of eight months, the country imported US$833.1 million worth of goods commodities from Indonesia, up 32 per cent on year.
The country still spent the most on the import of animal feed, petroleum, clinker, tobacco materials and construction glass.
Last year, two-way trade between Vietnam and Indonesia hit US$1.7 billion. (MoT)
