Int'l Conference on Experience of Japanese SMEs in Globalisation Process
VCCI-HCM coordinated with Japan’s Economic Development Fund (JEF) to hold the “International Conference on Experience of Japanese Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in the Globalisation Process” on December 07 in Ho Chi Minh City.
Attending the conference were more than 200 businesses in Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces, Japanese businesses. The conference was supported by JETRO, JICA, Organisation for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation, Japan (SMRJ), Japan Small and Medium Enterprises Consultancy Association (J-SMECA). The conference was aimed to help businesses, especially Vietnamese small and medium-sized enterprises, refer to the development experience of Japanese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Japanese experts have introduced about the development of the Japanese economy and SMEs after the World War II, policies of Japanese government to support local SMEs, major contributors to the success of Japanese enterprises, the success of Japan’s SMEs – Coping with globalisation. They have also shared experience in the management of human resources, and the operation of Japan-Vietnam Human Resource Development and Cooperation Centre, the ability of small-sized enterprises to access financial services, the combination between business assistance and financial support for small-sized businesses.
As for Vietnam, reporters have made important speeches which are results of serious researches on the situation of Vietnamese businesses, in order to help local businesses to look back on them and build development strategies in the coming time.
