Ten Vietnam Hotels Named among ASEAN Top Green
Ten Vietnamese hotels are present in the list of ASEAN Green Hotels announced by the ASEAN Secretariat, said the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).
The ten are five-star Majestic, five-star Caravelle, five-star Hanoi Daewoo, four-star Ben Thanh, four-star De Nhat, four-star Continental, four-star Ana Mandara, four-star Dong Khoi, four-star Kim Do, and three-star Que Huong 4.
The awards will be presented at the ASEAN Tourism Forum to be held in Thailand in January, 2008.
“These are honorable presents for Vietnam proving standards of the local hotels,” a VNAT official said, adding that hotels throughout Vietnam are making their efforts to improve quality.
Vietnam is now home to around 8,556 hotels with 170,551 rooms. Of them, there are 25 five-star, 65 four-star, 141 three-star hotels and the remaining are 1-2 star hotels.
