Vietnam to Host 9th Asian Banker Summit
Vietnam will host a high-ranking Asian banking conference for the first time next month, state media reported February 22.
The ninth Asian Banker Summit, to be held by Vietnam Banks’ Association in Hanoi, will explore topics of risk management and governance in financial services.
Some 500 senior bankers, regulators, investors and analysts from Asia, Oceania and the Middle East will gather at the conference to share experiences and discuss groundbreaking issues that are transforming the financial industry.
Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Van Giau and Paul Sarbanes, former chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs will attend and make presentations at the conference.
Organizers also emphasized that the information exchange at the summit would be instrumental for Vietnam’s banking industry, which currently lags behind other countries in the world. (Young People)
