Vietnam Exports US$532 Mln Electronic Products in First Quarter
Vietnam is estimated to have exported US$532 million worth of electronic products in the first quarter of this year, up 16.8 per cent on year, said the General Statistic Office on March 31.
The country’s major markets are Japan, China, South Korea, France, the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia, the Post newspaper reported.
Vietnam targeted to obtain total revenue US$3.5 billion from electronic exports, including US$950 million from other ASEAN members, it noted.
Recently, a score of the world’s large electronics manufacturers have stated that they will withdraw from China to move to Southeast Asia. Those include Taiwanese Printing Circuit Manufacturers’ Association, HannStar Board, Gold Circuit Electronics (GCE), Unimicron Technology, Tripod Technology and Compeq Manufacturing and Chi Mei.
