Retail Cement Prices Will Likely Rise in Coming Days
Retail cement prices are most likely to surge in the coming days as most cement makers in Ho Chi Minh City have increased factory prices by VND110,000-VND130,000 a ton, the Saigon Times Daily reported.
Cotec Cement Company has already applied a new factory price of some VND1,185,000/ton on the Ho Chi Minh City market, up by VND110,000/ton.
Holcim Cement Company, Ha Tien 1 Cement Company and some other have also informed their distributors of factory price adjustments by an average of VND130,000/ton.
Ha Tien 1 cement now has a factory price of some VND1.2 million a ton. Similarly, Cam Pha, Gico and Lafarge Cement Companies raised their prices by some VND130,000/ton early this week.
A cement company said it had to increase the factory prices because of soaring raw materials prices and production costs.
