Vietnam Ranks 2nd in Footwear Export to Brazil

Vietnam has become the second biggest footwear exporter to Brazil, behind China, with an export turnover of US$19 million in the first five months of this year, according to the Brazilian Footwear Industry Association. 
 
The figure represented an on-year increase of 55 per cent in Vietnamese shoe shipments to the foreign country.
 
By the end of May, Brazil imported over 17 million pairs of shoes worth US$122.2 million in total, a rise of 53 per cent on-year.
 
Vietnam’s footwear industry reportedly shipped abroad US$1.75 billion worth of exports in the period, up 13.4 per cent on-year. (VNA, Economy & Urban)
