Sidereus Project 2008 - Bringing ASEAN Companies into Global Satellite Navigation Market

More than 300 companies from Europe and Asia are expected to att Sidereus, a major corporate matchmaking event in China this November.
 
Project Sidereus is a FILAS organized event which aims to promote business partnership among aerospace and infocomm companies in Europe and Asia, with a special focus on global navigation satellite tem (GNSS) based applications.
The event will be held from 26-28 November 2008 in Beijing, China. During the event, companies will get to explore business opportunities with other pre-ed companies through one-to-one meetings. They will also get to learn more about the aerospace market in Europe and Asia and GNSS based applications- a fast growing market that is foreed to yield a global market value of more than US$90 billions by 2011- European GNSS Authority.
GNSS such as Galileo and GPS provide highly accurate and guaranteed global positioning services. The GNSS applications span across many industries including transportation, finance, energy, agriculture, personal navigation and more. International cooperation will allow ASEAN companies to tap on this huge market potential more effectively through faster diffusion of technology and new market access.
