Vietnam Leading Tourism Hub to Host Int'l Travel Expo This Month
The International Travel Expo 2008 (ITE HCMC 2008) will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, the leading tourism hub of Vietnam from Sept 12-14, expecting to draw the participation of 180 sellers and 110 buyers from 11 countries.
This is the 4th International Travel Expo of this kind in the city, Deputy Director of the HCM City Tourism Department La Quoc Khanh said.
The expo, themed “Mesmerizing charms of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam – Three countries, One destination,” will serve as a venue to introduce tourism products offered by Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.
It will also see delegates from 43 countries and territories attend the Asia-Europe tourism cooperation forum.
Seminars to explore tourism potentials at ethnic minority-inhabited areas in the three countries, and promote tourism investment in Vietnam will be part of the event.
The expo is considered a national event, helping to promote tourism potential in the city and Vietnam as a whole, Khanh noted
Under the theme Three Countries and One Destination (TCOD), the International Travel Expo HCM City (ITE HCMC 2007) drew more than 100 buyers from 19 countries all over the world. (VNA)
