Vietnam PM OKs Adding US$230 Mln to Upgrade Roads
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on December 2 gave a nod to add US$230 million funded by the World Bank to upgrade roads systems, the government of Vietnam said on its website.
The Project Management Board must ensure the project will be implemented as scheduled and local authorities must prepare site clearance, the government said.
The project includes three packages: maintain and repair 2,000 kilometers of roads between 2005 and 2008, upgrade 600 km of highways and improving management capacity of road administration agencies. (chinhphu.vn)
