Taiwanese Firm Kicks off Five-star Hotel in HCM City
Fei Yueh Vietnam, a Taiwanese-invested firm February 18 began construction on a five-star hotel worth US$100 million in HCM City.
The 22-storey Hotel Nikko Saigon will cover total area of 58,437 square meters. It will be home to restaurants, swimming pools, and other entertainment services.
As scheduled, the facility will be put into operation in November, 2011.
Currently, HCM City has highest number of luxury hotels in Vietnam with more than 150 hotels, including ten five-star hotels. The city also reports 304 travel companies, including 120 licensed to provide outbound tours.
The number of international tourists to Ho Chi Minh City now accounts for 55 per cent of Vietnam’s total number. (Vietnam Economics Times)
