Dutch Businesses to Seek Investment Opportunities in Vietnam

Fifteen Dutch companies operating in industry, energy, and oil and gas fields will arrive in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City late this month to seek and expand investment opportunities, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) said.
 
The mission includes executives from Vopak LNG Holding B.V, Van Oord Offshore B.V, and Haskoning Nederland B.V.
 
They plan to work in Hanoi for two days from March 30-31, and Ho Chi Minh City for another two days from April 1-2.
 
During the visit, the mission will meet and work with some local main partners operating in technique, energy technology, and oil and gas service such as the Vietnam-Russia Petroleum Joint Venture (Vietsovpetro), the state-owned oil monopoly PetroVietnam group, and the Petroleum Technical Services Joint Stock Corporation (PTSC).
 
The delegation will also hold talks with domestic enterprises in Hanoi on March 31 and in Ho Chi Minh City on April 1.
 
The Netherlands is currently the number one investor among European member nations in Vietnam, with total capital of US$2.6 billion. It has provided Vietnam with around EUR30 million (US$44.67 million) in ODA annually over the past years. (Vietnam & World Economy, Vietnam Economic Times)
