Ham Kiem I IZ: Attractive Destination of Investors to Southern Province

In a bid to contribute to the development of central Binh Thuan Province’s industry and service sector, the Hoang Quan Real Estate Service Trading Consult Joint Stock Company, Ltd (H.Q) has invested nearly VND220 billion to construct and operate the Ham Kiem I Industrial Zone.
 
Located at Ham Thuan Nam suburban District’s Ham Kiem Commune next to the Highway 1A linking the Phan Thiet to Ho Chi Minh City, the industrial zone, with total area for the first period of around 146 hectares, has been receiving enthusiastic supports of local authorities.
 
Immediately after completing investment procedures and site clearance, the ground breaking of the industrial zone took place in February 2008, marking a starting for the development of the local industry and service sector as well as awaking the land, which is currently stunted, but full of potentials.
 
In line with the motto of building a modern and friendly-environmental industrial zone, the Hoang Quan Binh Thuan Company designed and distributed work items in the industrial zone into separate functional areas logically, including an area of factories and stores, an area of operating offices and services, flower garden and tree ranges. Infrastructures in the industrial zone were also invested carefully to meet the demand of investors. For example, road width requirements are 8 meters and 12 meters, the road surface was constructed in accordance with A1 standard. The industrial zone also ensured fully systems of drainage, wastewater discharge, waste water treatment plant at capacity of 5,760 cubic meters per day and night, gathering area of solid wastes, the power grid of 110/22KV-2x10MVA, the switchboard meeting over 1,000 numbers, Internet, and the supply system of clean water at capacity of 7,200 cubic meters per day and night. 
 
At the depth below 1.5-2 meters, the geological composition mainly is clay, firm gravel, which is very convenient for the construction of foundation, helping to reduce expenses for infrastructures. 
 
Situated nearby the Highway 1A and only ten kilometers far from the Phan Thiet City and 190 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City, the Ham Kiem I industrial zone is considered to possess a favorable location to promote business activities. The industrial zone is also distant four kilometers from the Muong Mang railway, only two kilometers from the Highway 1A scheduled for new construction, five kilometers from the North-South Highway, 120 kilometers from the Thi Vai-Cai Mep deep water port. Under the schedule by 2015, Binh Thuan Province will promote the construction of Ke Ga deep water port and Hon Rom industrial port. With those advantages, the Ham Kiem industrial zone has full potentials to develop industries which are based on available natural resources of the province such as food processing, foodstuff, agricultural products, seafood, commodities for consumption like apparels, woodworks, household appliances, handicraft items and others, construction and decoration materials, mechanics and assembly, as well as tools to serve cultivation.
 
As pouring investments into the industrial zone, secondary investors will receive many priorities from the Ham Kiem I IZ’s contractor like 50 per cent reduction of design fee, legal consultancy free of charge as well as common priority policies from the local authority.
 
The Ham Kiem I IZ is expected to put into operation in 2010, contributing to promote the development of other services as well as to settle jobs for thousands of young laborers of the province. It is also expected to push up the province’s industrial sector into a key economic sector following the success of tourism and services sector.
Apart from the Ham Kiem I IZ in Binh Thuan, the Hoang Quan company also invested the Binh Minh industrial zone in Vinh Long province, which includes services, apartments, port and industrial park, with total area of 162 hectares. The Binh Minh IZ also possess a ideal location near by Hau River and Highway 1A, five kilometers from Can Tho city and ten kilometers from the Tra Noc airport, 160 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City.
 
The industrial zone is scheduled to complete at the same time with the Can Tho Bridge project.
