Saigontourist Travel Service Company has recently welcomed 1,250 tourists and crewmen on the Costa Allegra cruise ship which docked at NaviOil Port in HCM City. Most of the visitors are from Italy, France, Spain, Germany and the UK.

During a four-day visit to Vietnam, the tourists toured HCM City, My Tho, Cu Chi, Da Nang, Hue, Hoi An and Ha Long Bay.

Earlier, the French Press Agency (AFP) announced the results of a survey conducted in seven European countries indicating that European people are travelling less and planning to tighten their belt this summer due to the economic crisis, so the continued influx of foreign arrivals in Vietnam is a good sign for the tourism sector.
