Vietnam Needs US$56.09B for Seaport Development by 2020
Vietnam is estimated to need around VND1,000 trillion (US$56.09 billion) for a seaport development program by 2020 a vision for further development through 2030.
Of the sum, the Southeast Asian country will need between VND360 trillion and VND440 trillion the program from now to 2020.
The country will develop seaports in the six regions nationwide, including the north, the northern central region, the central region, the south-central region, the south-eastern region and the Mekong Delta region.
Currently, Vietnam is home to 49 seaports of different kinds. (Hanoi New)
