Warner Bros to Develop Retail Chain in Vietnam in Q2 2010
The U.S.-based Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) is planning to develop a chain of retail stores in Vietnam in the second quarter of 2010.
Warner Bros made its presence in Vietnam in March by appointing Wbrands as its sub-licensing partner in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, said General Director of Wbrands Peter Ngo.
Under the agreement inked between the two sides, Wbrands will partner with Global Brands Group, an agent for WBCP in Southeast Asia and Indochina, to establish the licensing business for WBCP’ portfolio of brands, including Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, Harry Potter, Batman, Superman, and Scooby-Doo.
The licensing categories include products such as publishing materials, apparel, accessories, toys, stationery, gifts, novelties, branded food and personal care. (Investment)
