Vietnam Banks Make Govt-support Loans of VND416.736T as of Nov 19

Banks and financial companies in Vietnam had extended subsidized loans to VND416.736 trillion ($23.309 billion) as of Nov. 19, the State Bank of Vietnam, the country’s central bank, said.
 
In the week ending on Nov. 19, they added VND2.276 trillion, up 0.55% from a week earlier, the central bank said.
 
Also, Governor Nguyen Van Giau of the SBV issued a document late last week, requesting local banks tighten lending activities and banning them to providing loans to non-production such as realty and financial investments. (SBV)
