Vietnam to Earn US$2.7B from Woodwork Export in 2009
Vietnam is likely to earn US$2.7 billion from its woodwork export in 2009, down US$100 million from a year earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
The woodwork export rebounds since the fourth quarter of 2009 and Vietnamese enterprises target to increase the revenue from a woodwork export to US$3 billion in 2010, up 8%-10% from this year.
Vietnamese woodwork producers will use more wood grown within the country as local farms can provide 30% of the domestic demand. (Trade & Industry)
