S.Korean Firms to Boost Investments in Vietnam This Year
South Korea companies will boost investments in Vietnam this year, according to Ambassador to Vietnam Im Hong-Jae as saying.
Im Hong-Jae also said that his investors will further carry out projects in fields of garment industry, shoes, information technology and labor force in Vietnam in 2010.
South Korea pledged to provide US$270M in official development assistance (ODA) for Vietnam this year.
Last year, South Korea pledged to pour US$1.61 billion into Vietnam, ranking the fourth among foreign investors in the year.
As of mid-December, South Korea ranked the 2nd among 88 foreign countries and territories investing Vietnam with 2,327 projects valued at US$20.57 billion. (Financial Times)
