Hanoi Industrial Parks Attract US$4.14B To Date
Hanoi has to date licensed 508 projects totaling US$4.14 billion in its industrial parks (IPs), the Authority for Hanoi Industrial and Export Processing zones said.
Of the sum, 240 domestic projects account for US$3.533 billion and the rest is kept by 268 foreign-invested projects, the Communist Party of Vietnam said on its website, citing the authority.
Last year, the IPs pulled in US$130.79 million, including US$91.4 million from foreign investors, the authority added.
Local IPs and export processing zones aim to lure US$180 million and post an on-year revenue increase of between 11% and 13% this year.
Hanoi is now home to 16 IPs and 39 industrial complexes, of which, eight IPs become operational, generating more than 90,000 jobs. (CPV)
