Vietnam, Italian Region Sign Investment, Trade Promotion Deal
The Vietnam Export Promotion Centre (Vietrade) and the Italian central region of Tuscany signed an agreement to boost investment and trade promotion last week, the Communist Party of Vietnam said on its website.
Under the deal inked during a visit by Tuscany businesses to Vietnam, the two sides will share market information and economic policies to enhance bilateral investment and trade ties.
Cooperation in holding market surveys and exhibitions as well as human resource training area also included in the agreement.
Tuscany boasts advantages to develop the areas of metallurgy, chemicals, woodwork and traditional handicraft products.
Italy ranks the 26th among countries and territories investing in Vietnam with its total capital of US$162 million. (CPV)
