VCCI Launches Vietnam Business Insight Survey
In a move to realise the instruction of the Prime Minister and outperform its functions, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) officially launched the Vietnam Business Insight Survey (VBiS) on March 24.
VBiS aims to measure performance and capture concerns and feedbacks of businesses on a regular basis, and so to reflect to a large extent the state of the economy and business environment as well as to provide a forecast of economic outlook for upcoming periods. The method is electronic.
According to Dr Vu Tien Loc, President of VCCI, feedbacks from the business community will be important practical grounds for VCCI to generalise and propose the Party and the State to build and issue policies and create favourable business environment for enterprises.
Electronic surveys at VBiS will also support policymakers and business leaders to make informed and timely decisions based on reality on the ground and to foster public-private consultation and partnership in policy formulation and economic development.
VBiS is jointly organised by the Enterprise Development Institute - VCCI, the Asia Competitiveness Institute (ACI) - Lee Kuan Yew, School of Public Policy - University of Singapore, the General Statistics Office of Vietnam (GSO) and is sponsored by The Asia Foundation (TAF).
Ms Pham Thi Thu Hang Director of the Enterprise Development Institute - VCCI, said: VBiS is the joint power of business insight surveys from GSO, knowledge of business development and business environment from ACI, and the information and practice from the Vietnamese business community represented by VCCI.
