Vietnam Northern Province Licenses 200 FDI Projects So Far
Vietnam’s northern province of Hai Duong has to date licensed 200 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects totaling $2.52 billion, said Hai Duong People’s Committee chairwoman Nguyen Thi Minh.
Among those, 99 projects valued at $1.65 billion were licensed in industrial park (IPs) and 136 have become operational, employing 80,000 workers, Minh said.
Foreign companies mainly came from South Korea and Thailand and invested in the areas of auto assembling, electronics components producing and animal feed processing, Minh added.
Hai Duong province, which is 50 kilometers from Hanoi, now has 17 IPs and 33 industrial clusters.
