Vietnam Central City Seeks $2.09B for 33 Projects by 2020
Authorities of Vietnam’s central city of Can Tho have approved a list of 33 projects with a total investment of VND40 trillion ($2.09 billion) to call for both foreign and domestic investment from now to 2020.
The projects focus on industrial infrastructure, tourism and transport infrastructure and urban.
Among those, a $523 million project to build a 30-kilometer road liking the National Highway 91 with southern road of Hau river and a $341-million Phu An residential area are among the biggest projects.
The local authorities will announce the full list of the project at Mekong Delta Investment and Development Conference which is scheduled to open in September 4-5 by the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
As of March 1, eight industrial parks of Can Tho city reported 186 valid projects totaling $1.63 billion, including 25 foreign direct investment projects. (Investment)
