Vietnam Seeks More Investments from Hong Kong
A delegation from Vietnamese the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) have attended an international fair of small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) in Hong Kong to show the country’s potentials and seek more investments.
The fair with title “Businesses opportunities for newly emerging countries” held annually by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, attracted more than 680 enterprises.
At the fair, over 50 Vietnamese enterprises showcased many documents and publications introducing about the country’s socio-economic conditions, investment environment and its investment opportunities as well.
This was the second time Vietnam has taken part in the SME fair, Deputy Head of the MoIT’s Asia- Pacific Market Department Dao Ngoc Chuong said, adding that it also helped foreign investors understand Vietnam’s market.
During the fair, the Vietnamese delegation also joined a number of seminars and activities to exchange experiences with foreign businesses on how to deal with current trade challenges.
Companies from Hong Kong invested US$7.76 billion in 599 projects in Vietnam, ranking the 8th among investors in the country. Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd, Golden Resources Development Ltd and Polytechmer One-Member Ltd are among those. (Vietnamplus)
