With her determination and effort, Le Nguyen Hong Hanh, Director of Cao Vien Bird Nest Trading Co., Ltd, has successfully developed the Cao Vien Bird Nest brand name and brought bird nest products to domestic and international consumers.
She has stuck with swiftlet farming for more than five years. She said her swiftlet nests have high nutritional content which has been asserted by customers. In the production process, Cao Vien Company imposes strict quality supervision on all stages to ensure quality as well as safety standards and requirements, because swiftlet nests contain a lot of impurities such as dust, feather, and hardly seen down. Therefore, tiny impurities are removed under the microscope. With careful process and preparation, consumers only need to cook and use.

Currently, Cao Vien bird nests are mainly exported to China and Taiwan and are expected to reach Myanmar soon. In 2012, despite economic slowdown, the company’s business objectives were completed. Nests met market requirements and employment was ensured stable.

Currently, Cao Vien has 10 swiftlet colonies stretching from Can Giuoc, Can Gio to Phan Thiet. To ensure input materials in the coming time, the company intends to develop swift houses in Can Gio (Ho Chi Minh City) and neighbouring provinces. Hanh said “Previously, most bird nests were for export because the products were unaffordable for most people. However, with higher living conditions, many people can afford the special natural food. To meet the growing demand in the domestic market, the company is planning to open retail stores in District 8, Ho Chi Minh City to offer easier access to the highly nutritional food for Vietnamese consumers. This food is extremely good for health.”
