Knauf Introduces First Distributor in Mekong Delta
Recently,Knauf Vietnam launches its first distributor of plasterboard in Mekong Delta region – Thuan Hung Construction Materials Company at Can Tho Golf Hotel. From Knauf’s side, Mr David Victor Thomas - Knauf Vietnam’s General Manager attends the event together with Southern Regional Manager, Marketing Manager and Ho Chi Minh office team. Knauf Vietnam invites many plasterboard and building material distributors in Mekong Delta region as well as journalists from key publications to the event.
At the event, Knauf Vietnam introduces about its office in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong. The plant in Hai Phong is expected to commence operation by 2015 to supply the market with high quality plasterboard products at affordable price. Thuan Hung, which has 13 years of solid plasterboard trading experience, as a Knauf’s distributor, is expecting to become a market leader in Mekong Delta.
“Getting Thuan Hung as our First-tier Distributor in Mekong Delta Region, we hope Thuan Hung can help promote our brand awareness and sales revenue in this region. We believe in Thuan Hung’s capability and ensure Thuan Hung can satisfy the plasterboard demand of Mekong Delta market that would help us gain considerable market-share in the coming time. This is really a fundamental basis for us to promote our Distribution network nationwide,” said Mr. David Thomas.
Knauf Group was founded in 1932 by the brothers Karl and Dr. Alfons N. Knauf in Iphofen, Germany. Knauf is a multinational producer of building materials and construction systems that operates more than 150 production plants in over 40 countries with roughly 23,000 employees. Recently, Knauf has been spreading the market to East Europe and Asia. Knauf Vietnam applied for and gained an investment license in 2013 to build a plasterboard manufacturing facility in Hai Phong, North of Vietnam.
