Panasonic Celebrates 5th Anniversary of Risupia Science Centre, Affirming Strong Commitment on CSR
On September 8, Panasonic Vietnam celebrated the 5th anniversary of Panasonic Risupia Vietnam – the Hanoi based science centre founded by Panasonic Corporation in response to suggestion of former Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan.
Established on 8 September 2010 as commitment to support the young generation of Vietnam, Risupia Vietnam is a play-and-learn place for children and anyone who love science. It is unique for the utilization and combination between Panasonic’s advanced technologies and fundamental math and physic principles to convey into a wonderful world of science with fun games such as Lighting Canvas, Prime Number Air Hockey, Water Flight and Magical Performance Theatre.
After 5 years of operation, the Centre has welcomed nearly 250,000 visitors including 180,000 students and organised over 300 workshops for nearly 11,000 children every weekend. Mr Masahiro Yamamoto, Director of Panasonic Vietnam said “By establishing Risupia Vietnam, the second and only centre after Risupia Tokyo, Panasonic expressed strong commitment to Vietnam government on its corporate social responsibility (CSR)”.
Within the agenda, Panasonic Vietnam and National Fund for Children – Ministry of Labour, War invalid and Social Affair sign a new donation agreement for the year 2015 with total value of VND600 million. Approximately 11,000 children in 44 schools and social facilities will be beneficial from this donation.
