Amid ecological zones of the large system of lakes, waterfalls and primeval forests, Pa Sy Waterfall appears like a vivid picture of wild nature. It has the mysterious and romantic characteristics of nature but also idyllic and modest features of local culture. Pa Sy Waterfall is made up of three biggest streams in Mang Den, located at an altitude of 1,300 metres above sea level. It has cool climate all year round, suitable for travelling.
Kon Plong has charming landscape amid pristine waterfalls and forests, with the unique and traditional cultural values of the residents living around the area to create more harmony of based on tourism associated with culture plate. Pa Sy ecotourism is located on the territory of the village of Kon Tu Rang village of Ro Mam ethnic people, Mang Canh Commune, Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province, 6 km from the northwest the centre of Kon Plong. It has cool climate all year round, suitable for development of tourism and resort. The waterfall is formed from three streams in Mang Den, so it is called Pau Suh, which means three streams bunched into one in Ro Mam ethnic language. Latter, its name is changed to Pa Sy. Pa Sy ecotourism has a total area of 25 hectares and was invested by the state from 2012 to 2013 It was then transferred to Thanh Binh 1 Co. Kon Plong branch to manage and invest in infrastructure to serve tourism. It offers many services such as sightseeing, food court, resort communities, the cultural showcase of Ro Mam ethnic, vegetable and flower farms, etc. In 2014, it was officially put into operation. The introduction of Pa Sy waterfall has created a focal point for tourism in Kon Tum, attracting tourists from the country and far abroad. The total number of arrivals to Pa Sy waterfall increased from 20,000 in 2014 to 30,000 in 2015. Particularly in the first 6 months of 2016, the number of arrivals to the waterfall was more than 20,000 visitors, contributing significantly to jobs creation and local social security.
The first impression when entering the resort is the garden of statues arranged in green hills. The statues are arranged in a circle from the bottom to the top of the hills in many different forms, containing a mystery history of the highlands. Leaving the statue garden towards Pa Sy waterfall leading down to the deep valley, there is a majestic waterfall with a height of about 25m bearing Highlands breath in the cool atmosphere, dispelling all the stress in life. Scattered around the waterfalls and along hillsides are roofs of huts and Rong house located in the shadow under the canopy of forest. This is an ideal place to stop and feel the great sounding of the waterfall, forest rain to make a marvellous symphony. Tourists should not miss the taste of local wine with banana flavour, bamboo cooked rice, hill chickens, Mang Den Sturgeon, Mang Den grilled pork, and Mang Den grilled chicken which are the famous specialties here. Coming to Pa Sy ecotourism, tourists can join the festival with bold cultural identity of Ro Mam ethnic groups such as Lunar New Year and Happy New rice sowing, buffalo festival, and bury worshiping, etc. The trip to Pa Sy waterfall will lead travellers astray at the heaven which contains the precious experience of scenery, traditional culture and its people, with various new things unfold gradually with each step of the tourists. It is also a difference, setting itself apart from elsewhere and contributes to Pa Sy waterfall value.
