VCCI & Intel Support Enterprise in IT Application

 

On May 10, 2004, in Hanoi, VCCI and Intel signed an agreement supporting Vietnamese businesses in IT application for development and integration in 2005-2010.

 

According to the agreement, VCCI and Intel will mobilise existing resources to provide maximum support to businesses. Explaining the programme, Mr Nguyen Van Thao, Director of the Institute of Technology for Business under VCCI said that the two parties will conduct a survey on the current IT application and introduce IT and computers to users. A consulting centre will be set up to help businesses to get the best solutions and applications. The two parties will train managers and their staff in IT. In particular, a distance assistance centre will support businesses with minimum cost.

 

Referring to Intel's role, Mr Thanh Trong Phuc, Chief Representative of Intel VN said that together with VCCI, Intel will co-operate with Vietnamese software companies to find package solution to reduce cost and risk to businesses. Intel will also start marketing and sharing experiences on IT application.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Vu Tien Loc, VCCI President pointed out the need to develop index on IT application of the business community. It will demonstrate the application of high technology in management and business activities as well as the transparency of economic performance.

 

All businesses can participate in the programme. VCCI and Intel will prepare specific activities and make it public to all businesses.
