The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) has co-operated with the American Chamber of Commerce, Hanoi branch, (Amcham Hanoi) to organise a seminar entitled ‘Doing business with the American market: What enterprises should know in Hanoi on November 16, 2005.

This is to help Vietnamese enterprises to get more information and to understand further about American partners, their business strategies and negotiating skills with American partners.

The seminar’s lecturer is Professor David F.Day, a famous lawyer specialising in international business from the Hawaii Business Administration University. It is expected that Professor Day will provide information about the challenges Vietnamese enterprises often face when doing business with American companies and how to maintain their relationship once created. Also, the professor will present the difference between one side which relies on ‘Commerce law regulations’ and the other, on ‘Promoting relationship,’ as well as appropriate measures to attract American partners and customers. More importantly, the professor will provide suggestions on access to the American market, and appropriate use of consultancy services.
