VCCI and FPT Co-operate to Help Promote Enterprises IT Application
Recently, the Enterprise Information Technology Institute of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Technology Investment and Development Joint stock Company of the FPT Group signed a co-operation agreement to help enterprises promote information technology application for their international integration and development.
Under the agreement, through to 2010, both sides will develop programmes on improving the awareness of Vietnamese enterprises on the importance of information technology in their management and their application. Also, the two sides will co-operate to provide consulting services on information technology application, including personnel management, enterprise resources planning, to help enterprises select solutions suitable with their business and production activities.
Apart from these activities, the two sides will jointly organise forums, conferences and exhibitions, as well as training courses to promote the education of enterprises on information technology, creating an exchange channel for enterprises for this purpose.
Addressing the signing ceremony, Hoang Van Dung, permanent vice president of VCCI, said he wished the two sides would help increase the number of Vietnamese enterprises applying information technology from three per cent to 20 per cent in 2010. Truong Gia Binh, director of the FPT Group, said he believed that the co-operation between FPT and VCCI would help Vietnamese enterprises overcome three difficulties, such as poor enterprise management, poor understanding about information technology and human resources for information technology application.
