Brainstornes International Company of Denmark will construct a US$35 million beach resort in central Thua Thien Hue province under a deal signed on March 3.

The eco-tourism complex, which is located in Lang Co town, will have villas, bungalows, restaurants, healthcare facilities, a commercial center, swimming pools and sporting grounds.

The Danish group will join hands with Ho Chi Minh City’s Gia Minh Investment and Construction Company in the project.

Lang Co is a beautiful beach lying 65 kilometers south of Hue, the ancient capital of Vietnam. It is situated on a sand-spit peninsula with a sparkling lagoon on one side and a long beach lining the East Sea on the other.

The beach is connected with central Danang City by the Hai Van pass, the highest peak of the northern Truong Son mountain range. The two spots, together with Bach Ma national nature reserve, have the potential to create an attractive tourism complex.

Hue is now one of the biggest tourist centers in Vietnam. Its attraction lies first of all in the many temples, palaces and mausoleums of the Nguyen Dynasty built between 1805 and 1832, such as the old citadel, which measures 11 kilometers in circumference with a 21-meter thick wall and a flagpole standing 54.4 meters high.
