Norfolk Invitational Golf Tournament to Tee off in April
The 8th Norfolk Invitational Golf Tournament will tee off at Vietnam Golf and Country Club, District 9, Ho Chi Minh City with a shotgun start and stroke play tournament at 18-hole West Course on April 15, 2006 from 12:00 p.m onwards.
Afterwards, end a leisurely golfing day with Dinner and Award Ceremony at Norfolk Mansion, 2nd floor Terrazzo Restaurant terrace. The prestigious annual tournament draws top international and Vietnamese business community living in Vietnam. Expected turn-out for the 2006 day of greenery is 140 golfers.
Last year, VND 20 million was collected from the tournament’s charity hole. Funds helped to build a 2-room house for 86-year-old Mr. Nguyen Van Long in Vinh Long Province in the continuing Non Government Organization ‘Tinh Nghia’ housing project spearheaded by Cong An newspaper.
Out of all Ho Chi Minh City golf tournaments, only Mrs Park Sung Suk, Korean lady has won the “Hole in One” prize at Hole No. 12, scooping a BMW 323i worth of US$ 60,000 at the 2000 Norfolk Invititational Golf Tournament.
