Mineral mud baths in Nha Trang
It is around four kilometres from the centre of Nha Trang city to the Thap Ba Spring Centre, which is located just behind the ancient tower of Ponagar with an area of three hectares and surrounded by a beautiful scene created by mountains, rivers and forests, as well as gardens.
Relaxed and buoyant
Just leave daily worries behind to join a new, interesting journey. After bathing, visitors will sit down in a single, double or collective tub, which is filled with and mineral mud soft as silk and fragrant. After just 15 minutes in the mud, visitors’ skin will be come healthier having absorbed moisture. What visitors do is to get relaxed and enjoy wonderful sounds of music, watching the blue sky until the mud creates a mask for the whole body. Visitors then can clean themselves with thermal mineral water and go for next step, strongly blown water will stimulate visitors’ skin and blood veins. They then can soak in mineral water, watching a scene of a Vietnamese village.
“VIP Spa – a special and luxurious place”
In 2004, the Thap Ba thermal spring launched a new service of high quality ‘VIP Spa – a special and luxurious relaxing place’ tomeet the demand for individual space. The VIP Spa has 14 rooms to serve a maximum of 28 guests in a separate area of 2,000 square metres, which is designed in a modern and luxurious manner. With a combination use of natural products, including mineral mud and mineral water, the Spa is more special as it helps visitors relax and recover their health. The tub is made of marble stones with a system, which will massage the whole body. Visitors then enjoy herbal massage services which help them relax and refresh their mind. Or they can enjoy swimming in the VIP Spa area or use modern facilities in their rooms.
Disease treatment and health recovery
Mineral water sources in Nha Trang were discovered in 1994. However, the sources are too salty to be used as drink. From 1995, in Khanh Hoa province, some mineral mud mines were uncovered and they can be used for treating some diseases, such arthritis, rheumatism, bone tuberculosis and skin diseases. The key ingredients of mineral mud are carbonatnatrisilic and many other antiseptic minerals, which can stimulate nerves under the skin and the whole body. Mineral mud can clean and beautify skin, making visitors feel pleasant. The impact of mineral mud increases sharply at the temperature of between 37 and 39 Celsius degrees. Mineral water in Khanh Hoa with cloruanatrisilic is extracted from 100 metres under the earth, which at the temperature of 40 Celsius degrees can help visitors recover skin cells and ease stress and tiredness. Also, mineral water can be used to treat rheumatism, sciatic nerve, mental stress and chronic headache.
Hoang Quang, director of the 21st Century Morning Star Company, said that having known about useful value of mineral water and mud, since 2000 they had been used for disease treatment. Visitors can buy Thap Ba bottled mineral mud to use at home. Fresh mud can be use to make a facial mask while dry mud can be use with mineral water, egg white, fruit juice, fresh milk and honey, to make a facial mask.
In April, 2004, a scientific and technological council of the Ministry of Public Health checked upon a research work entitled ‘Research on features of mineral mud in Ninh Loc, Ninh HOa and mineral water in Vinh Phuong, Nha Trang and evaluation of their treatment of joint and skin diseases.’The research was given with excellent marks, which has become an encouragement for the enterprise to promote its investment in upgrading services and building trademarks for better serving people and the community.
Over the past five year, the Thap Ba Nha Trang Minister Water Centre has received around one million visitors. Many Party and State leaders of Vietnam and other countries, medical experts fromVietnam and foreign countries, and leaders of the club of 29 most beautiful bays in the world have visited the centre and enjoyed its services. During his second visit to the centre, President Tran Duc Luong said: “Thap Ba Nha Trang mineral water is a new and specific tourist product of Khanh Hoa province in particular, and a precious product of Vietnam in general, so all the people have responsibility of protecting and developing it.”
