Malaysian Food and Culture Week in HCM City

From 7 to 20 September, 2006, the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board in conjunction with the Malaysian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh organized the " Malaysian Food &Culture week " in Ho Chi Minh City .Mr Dato' Ir Donald Lim Siang Chai, Deputy Minister of Malaysia Tourism has presented in this event.

 

At Equatorial Hotel, over 40 Malaysian special foods were served to customers from 7 to 20 September, 2006. In the same time, a “Malaysian Culture Festival Day” was held on September 10, 2006 from 9.00 a.m to 20.00 p.m. at Military Zone 7 Sport House to perform a lot of activities, including an Exhibition on Malaysian people and its country, Teh Tarik milk tea demonstration, Henna painting on hand, Batik silk contest and Malaysian food display. At night, another program “Malaysian Culture Night " was served to the guests like folk dance by Malaysian Kuantan dancers, fashion show by the leading designer Mohamed Azizi Hassan also with the participation of well-known Vietnamese models and pop singers.

 

 This is an opportunity for the citizens in the City to enjoy the diversity of Malaysian

Culture to close the relationship between two countries, forward to “Visit Malaysia

2007 “celebrating 50 years of Malaysia Nation.
