Viet Tien Inks US$176Mln Export Contracts

Vietnam’s top garment company Viet Tien has clinched garment export contracts with total value of $176 million for the first half of this year, a company official said.
 
Nguyen Dinh Truong, Viet Tien general director, said the U.S market accounts for 34 per cent of the export value, followed by Japan with 28 per cent and the EU with 18 per cent.
 
The main exports are shirts, trousers and jackets, Truong said.
 
The company has plans to open an office in Australia to boost exports. (Saigon Times Weekly)
