The US State Department on April 3 began to consider license granting for non-lethal defense products to be exported to Vietnam, according to reporters of Vietnam News Agency in Washington.

The move is in line with the US presidential decree, issued on December 29, 2006, on adjusting the policy of weapon transfer and defense service supply towards Vietnam. The adjustment was proposed earlier by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

According to the US Register, the US State Department will consider license granting to import or export non-lethal defense items and defense services with Vietnam. Those products and services are now banned from export or import between Vietnam and the US. (Young People)
