In March alone, Vietnamese businesses shipped abroad 1.39 million coats, valued at US$12.2 million.

The US has become Vietnam’s biggest coat importer, leaving the traditional EU market far behind. Coat exports stateside tripled the EU’s in terms of volume in the period.

Japan, which remained in third position, imported nearly 220,000 coats from Vietnam in the three months, down 10 per cent on-year. (Youth)
