Workshop on Legal Procedures &Trade Regulations in US Market

VCCI - HCM City, a branch of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), coordinated with Viettrade New York to open a seminar on legal procedures and commercial regulations in the US market in Ho Chi Minh City on April 25, 2007.

This was a chance for Vietnamese enterprises to update information related to the market and legal regulations in doing business in the US market. This would help the Vietnamese companies avoid risks and overcome technical barriers in the US. At the meeting, Lawyer Sidney.N.Weiss, Chairman of International Customs Lawyers Association and Vice Chairman of AmCham, presented matters related to business organisation, business contract, buying, selling and unsettled payment, etc.

Especially, he stressed the US laws on anti-monopoly and anti-dumping. The meeting was also attended by Mr Nguyen The Hung, Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs of VCCI-HCM City, and representatives from various companies.
