Chinese Heavy Trucks Introduced in Vietnam
Terex Group of China, Mining Science and Technology Association and Mining Production Science Joint Stock Company introduced heavy mining trucks to Vietnamese customers in Quang Ninh Province on April 21.
Terex heavy trucks are made by joint ventures between the UK, the US and China. After one year test-running in Cao Son mine (Cam Pha District, Quang Ninh Province), experts highly appreciated the appropriateness of Terex trucks in Vietnam. The vehicle features a hard steel body, anti-corrosion, and the power to climb steep slopes at high speed. Terex mining trucks are more economical than similar models, with 7-12 per cent less fuel consumption. Service fees for maintenance and parts replacement are 15-20 per cent cheaper.
Mining Production Science JSC will be the sole distributor of Terex trucks in Vietnam. The company expects to sell 25-30 mining trucks of 60-90 tonnes, worth of US$17-20 million in total, to Vietnamese miners this year.
