Sacombank Lends IFC VND500Bln for Housing Loans

Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank) signed a deal on June 27, 2007 with International Finance Corporation (IFC) to borrow VND500 billion (USUS$31.25 million) to lend to households in Vietnam to buy, build and repair houses.

 

Addressing the signing ceremony, Mr Dang Van Thanh, Chairman of Sacombank Directors Board said, “We hope that, via this cooperation, the relationship between IFC and Sacombank will be consolidated. I strongly believe the development potential of Sacombank, in combination with the global experience and potential of IFC and other foreign strategic partners, will bring economic efficiency not only for us but also the entire community, as well as create gigantic growth for the Vietnamese financial market in the integration process.
