Vietnam is estimated to have raked in US$1.1 billion from electronic and personal computer component exports in the first seven months of this year, up 24.6 per cent over last year, the General Statistics Office (GSO) said.
In July, the industry grew 35.1 per cent on year, representing 45.8 per cent of the full-year target.
In the seven-month span, the industry incurred a deficit of US$396 million, noted the office, saying that it still heavily relies on raw processing for foreign companies. (GSO July 2007, Investment)
